Head of Partner Development, Techstars

Dave is Head of Partner Development at Techstars. In January 2012, he co-founded Uvize, an education technology platform to launch, manage and measure the success of a mentorship programs. Uvize is alumni of the Techstars’ Edtech Class of 2013. In 2016, Uvize was acquired by SonderMind. For nearly a decade, Dave has served as a mentor at Techstars and Patriot Boot Camp.

He is a graduate of Tulane University, where he earned his Bachelor’s of art degree in Political Science. He holds an MBA in entrepreneurship and finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder and he currently serves as an adjunct professor at the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship, Leeds School of Business, UC, Boulder.

Dave is the author of “The Strategic Student Veteran: Successfully Transitioning from the Military to College Academics” which is used in universities nationwide. Prior to his career in venture capital, Dave was an officer and aviator in the U.S. Navy.
