Matthew Hyde

Partner and Co-Founder, Catalyst Law Group LLP

Matt Hyde is a partner and co-founder of Catalyst Law Group LLP, where his practice is focused on representing emerging-growth companies and venture or private equity investors in various transactions, including private financings, mergers and acquisitions and cross-border transactions across a variety of industries, software and internet, consumer products and communications. In addition, he serves as outside general counsel to several startup companies and counsels their management teams and boards of directors on general corporate matters and related governance issues.

As general counsel and a member of Patriot Boot Camp’s board of directors, Matt was instrumental in the DAV and Patriot Boot Camp merger. He is a longtime volunteer and mentor for participating veterans.

Before founding Catalyst Law Group, Matt worked as a corporate attorney at several large international firms, including Latham & Watkins (San Diego and Hong Kong), Ropes & Gray (Hong Kong) and Cooley (Colorado). Before his law career, Matt served as a pilot in the U.S. Navy based in San Diego.

Matt is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and the UCLA School of Law. When not practicing law, Matt enjoys skiing, fly-fishing and spending time with his family in the Colorado outdoors.
